Export-controlled data is technical information regulated by the U.S. government under ITAR (defense articles) or EAR (dual-use goods), typically drawings, specs, or files related to defense, aerospace, or certain advanced manufacturing parts.

CUI is Controlled Unclassified Information, which is sensitive but unclassified federal data, often marked as such in your contract or purchase order.

If you work with a defense prime, a federal agency, or hold a DoD subcontract, your files are likely in this category. If you're not sure, select "I'm not sure" and we'll treat your account conservatively. You can ask us anytime.
